I fasted last night and whoa Nellie, I lost 2.1 pounds! I realize that most of this is water weight, but less bloat is a good thing, too. It indicates that my body may be letting go of the set point. My focus on fasting also helped me achieve a “Lucky” since it was instrumental in my fighting off the urge to buy a six pack for Thursday Night Football.

I’m heading up to the mountains tonight for two nights. I don’t have a scale up there. So Monday’s weigh in will be interesting, and probably followed by some more fasting!
I’m on Day 8 of the Plant Paradox (including the 3 day cleanse portion) and I’m about to see another belt loop hole disappear. This is the last hole in this belt, so I’ll need to punch some more or buy a new belt. I’ll just need to stick with it (mostly) in the mountains.
I’m Drinking So Much Less!
I realized this morning that over the past 34 days I’ve only drank on two occasions. And on only one of those did I come close to what’s considered binge drinking. The second time was the beer, cheese, and chocolate tasting night. And on that night, I was able to reject the urge to continue drinking despite the onset of a mild buzz. I guess I’m alcohol fasting in a way with 94% of the past 34 nights being alcohol free.
Moreover, I haven’t had any marijuana, pot, weed, mary jane, spiff, vape, or similar in 66 days. In fact, I’ve now arrived at the point that I don’t think about it anymore. I don’t miss it at all. It’s a no-thing, persona non grata, neary a thought. Gone.
That’s really amazing!
I can’t wait for beer to be like that, if ever. I still think about drinking multiple times a day, but the good news is that I’ve lost the “craving” element. In other words, the thought to drink comes and goes, but it’s a lot less sticky than it used to be. I can R.A.I.N. it out of existence most of the time.
Going for an Octet.
