Day 37 – I Love My Third Eye
Even crazier was the sudden appearance of my third eye. It manifested as a sensation in the center of my forehead, right above the space between my eyebrows.

Enter meditation & RAIN. I started daily meditation practice exactly 157 days ago (as of the publication of this blog). And it’s been quite a journey. At day 35, I completely stopped smoking pot after being a near daily smoker for over two decades. By day 90 I had gone from drinking 5 nights a week to twice a month, and drinking half as much in a sitting (from 7-10 beers to 2-4). By day 140, I had lost 26 pounds.
I never planned to quit smoking pot. In fact, my pot addiction was simply collateral damage. It was the hapless victim of a little over a month of daily mindfulness meditation targeting my alcohol use. I should have instead titled this blog entry: How Meditation Used Me To Deal With Pot Addiction.
With enough practice, we meditate away our brittleness and become like the sapling that bends in the wind as opposed to the old oak that snaps. With the pollution of negativity removed, the flowing of our thoughts pulls us in the direction of our desires. There is no need to persist in our incessant pushing on everything and everyone. Our internal compass is finally pointing to our true north. And we are drawn there.
Dumping a mostly full, ice cold beer down the drain is something I’ve never done in my life. Six months ago, doing something like that was sacrilege!

Falling incessantly”
