While I am more confident about my sobriety than I’ve ever been, having prepared for this moment, there is a little piece of me that fears the challenge of the day ahead.
There is no doubt that this episode has been and continues to be the toughest weight loss slog of my life. But, while slow, it is steadily moving in the right direction. And that would be DOWN.
When you’re harmoniously passionate, you become intrinsically driven, and, as a result, you will live in the here and now. The gap is really about being physically here but mentally and emotionally “there”, in some ideal future state. The gap is the distance between “here” and “there”.
Dumping a mostly full, ice cold beer down the drain is something I’ve never done in my life. Six months ago, doing something like that was sacrilege!
